3. Once the above applications are removed, try installing "Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats".
Once the "Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats" package is installed, you may confirm the functionality of the package by opening a Word 2007 document in Word 2003 or Excel 2007 file in Excel 2003 or PowerPoint 2007 file in PowerPoint 2003.
