Place Computer icon on the desktop in Windows Vista

You may view the Computer icon by clicking on the Start button . To place the Computer icon on the desktop, perform the following steps:

1. Click Start button , and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Appearance and Personalization.

3. Click Personalization.

4. Click Change desktop icons.

5. From the Desktop Icon Settings dialog box, under Desktop icons, click to place a tick mark to the Computer check box.
6. Click OK.

Shortcut

The result of the first three steps can be achieved by right-clicking on an empty space on the desktop and clicking on Personalize.
