Unable to drag and drop programs and also the right click on the programs in Start menu does not work in Windows Vista

In Windows Vista, when you click on the Start button , you will see a list of programs that you had recently opened on the left pane. By default, you can move the programs up or down by dragging and dropping the programs and also you can view the context menu when you right click on any program. If you are unable to drag and drop programs and also if the context menu does not appear when you right-click on a program then you may perform the following steps to enable the drag-and-drop feature and also to make the context menu to appear in the Start menu.

1. Click Start button , click Control Panel.
2. Click Appearance and Personalization.

3. Click Taskbar and Start Menu to open Taskbar and Start Menu Properties dialog box.

4. Click on the Start Menu tab and then click on Customize...

5. From the Customize Start Menu dialog box, under You can customize how links, icons, and menus look and behave on the Start menu, click to place a check mark to the Enable context menus and dragging and dropping.
6. Click OK to close the Customize Start Menu dialog box.
7.Click OK again to close the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties box.
