Add Recent Items button on the Start menu in Windows Vista

Recent Items displays a list of the files that you've used recently. It is located at the right side of the Start menu. It appears by default in the Windows Start menu. If you had remove the Recent Items from the Start menu then you may perform the following steps to add Recent Items back to the Start menu.

1. Click Start button , click Control Panel.
2. Click Appearance and Personalization.

3. Click Taskbar and Start Menu to open Taskbar and Start Menu Properties dialog box.

4. Click the Start Menu tab, under Privacy, click to place a check mark to the Store and display a list of recently opened files check box.
5. Click Apply.
6. Click OK.
